Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of themoversthatcare.com and the moving services provided by Movers That Care, located at 433 Plaza Real, Suite 275, Boca Raton, FL 33432. By requesting a quote or booking a move with us, you agree to these terms.
Estimates and Contracts
Florida law requires a written estimate and contract before we perform a move, and we provide one. Local moves may be quoted on an hourly basis or as a flat rate, and long-distance moves are quoted as a binding written flat rate. The terms, scope, and price stated in your signed estimate govern the job. Any changes you request on move day that affect the scope may adjust the final price, and we will tell you before proceeding.
Deposits and Payment
A deposit of $150 is required to reserve your date and is applied to your final balance. Payment for completed services is due on the day of delivery unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Deposits are transferable to a rescheduled date with reasonable notice; last-minute cancellations may forfeit the deposit because the crew and truck were committed to your job.
Licensing and Insurance
Movers That Care is registered as an intrastate mover with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (Florida IM#) and holds US DOT and MC authority for interstate moves. Standard released-value protection is included at $0.60 per pound per item, with cargo coverage up to $1,000,000 per shipment. Full-value protection is available as an upgrade. Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within the period allowed by law.
Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate move details, securing any building or association approvals such as a Certificate of Insurance or reserved elevator window where we cannot obtain them on your behalf, and ensuring items are accessible. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, building access issues, or information that proves inaccurate.
Limitation and Governing Law
Our liability is limited to the coverage level you select. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Palm Beach County. We may update these terms and will post the current version on this page.
