Anthony Russo grew up in Palm Beach County, the kind of kid who knew the difference between Glades Road traffic at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. before he could drive either way. His first real job out of school was with a big national van line, the sort of operation where customers got a confirmation number instead of a person, and a delivery window that spanned three days. He learned the trade there, but he never made peace with how it treated people.
So he left and went to work for the opposite kind of outfit, a two-guys-and-a-truck operation that promised the personal touch and rarely delivered it. Dates got missed. A dresser came off the truck with a gouge down one side and nobody offered to fix it. Anthony watched good families pay good money and end the day frustrated, and he kept thinking the same thing: it would not take much to do this right.
In 2014 he stopped thinking about it and started Movers That Care. The rule from day one was simple. Move every home the way he would want his own family moved, by movers he actually employs, with insurance that means something and a written price he stands behind. That rule is still the rule.
Today the company runs eight trucks and roughly a dozen full-time movers, about fifteen on staff all told. The crews wear our uniforms, train on our equipment, and stay with us, which is why the same people who pack your kitchen are the ones who set it back up. There is no rotating cast of day labor, and there is no broker quietly handing your job to whoever bids lowest. When you hire us, you hire us.
We register as an intrastate mover with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and carry a Florida IM#, and for moves that leave the state we hold US DOT and MC authority. Cargo coverage runs up to $1,000,000 per shipment, with $0.60 per pound released-value protection standard and full-value protection available when you want it. Florida law requires a written estimate before we move you, and we follow it to the letter, because a clear contract is the first thing a customer deserves.
What sets a Boca move apart is the buildings. So much of Palm Beach County lives in high-rise condos and gated communities, and those associations expect things: a Certificate of Insurance naming them, a reserved freight elevator, pads on the cab, and move-in hours that get enforced. Handling that paperwork and that timing is not an afterthought for us. It is part of the job we do best, and it is a big reason Boca families keep calling Anthony’s crew back.
