Boca Raton to Fort Myers Movers

The move from Boca to Fort Myers runs the same Gulf-bound corridor as the Naples trip, but a little farther up the coast. Our truck takes I-75 west across the bottom of the state and then north toward Lee County, about 140 miles in all, landing you near the Caloosahatchee, the river district downtown, or the bridges out to Sanibel and the islands. People make this jump for the riverfront, the slower coastal pace, or a winter place along the southwest shore.

From the first box to the last, it stays our crew and our truck. Anthony’s movers pad-wrap and load at your Boca address, drive the I-75 route themselves, and unload at your Fort Myers home. Nobody transfers your shipment to an outside long-haul carrier, and nothing sits in a holding warehouse between the coasts. The crew you shake hands with in Boca is the crew that sets the last piece down by the river.

What the Gulf-coast run involves

At 140 miles, this is a solid long-distance day, with the early part of the route running through the same exit-thin Everglades stretch as the Naples haul before it turns north. We leave Boca early to beat the heat off the pavement and to clear the open country before afternoon storms build. Fort Myers is a mix of riverfront condos and single-family neighborhoods, so the destination access might be a reserved freight elevator and a COI, or it might be a driveway and a garage; we sort out which before move day.

  • Pad-wrapping built to ride the I-75 cross-state run
  • Truck fueled and checked before the exit-thin stretch
  • COI and elevator booking for riverfront towers when needed
  • One binding written quote, no drift after loading

During the June-to-November season we keep the Gulf forecast in view, because southwest Florida takes a direct line from storms tracking up that coast, and we hold a backup date so a loaded truck is never on the road when one is closing in. Movers That Care holds a Florida IM# with FDACS and US DOT/MC authority, the right credentials for a cross-state intrastate haul like this. Send us the room list and your Fort Myers address and we will return a flat written quote that holds once the truck is loaded.

What Long-Distance Customers Told Us

★★★★★

“Full house move during hurricane season, which made me nervous, but the office kept an eye on the forecast and we picked a clear day. Crew loaded early to beat both the heat and the daily afternoon downpour. Wrapped everything against the humidity. Estimate held, no add-ons at the end.”

“Moved a household from Jupiter down to Boca and then a separate leg up to Jacksonville on I-95 for my son. Both legs were priced as binding written quotes and both came in exactly as quoted. Same crew handled the Boca portion start to finish and stayed in touch about the longer run. Reliable outfit.”

“Small studio near Royal Palm Place. Four stars because they ran about forty minutes behind on the Florida Turnpike traffic getting to me, but they called ahead to warn me and knocked nothing off their professionalism once they arrived. Fast, careful, fair on the hourly. I'd still book them again.”

Route FAQ

How is the Fort Myers route different from the Naples one?
It starts the same way, running I-75 west across the bottom of the state, but Fort Myers sits farther north up the Gulf coast, so the total is about 140 miles instead of 110. The early Everglades stretch is just as exit-thin, so we fuel and check the truck before leaving Boca, then turn north toward Lee County.
Will my riverfront condo's building rules slow things down?
Not if we set them up ahead of time. Riverfront and downtown Fort Myers towers often want a Certificate of Insurance naming the association and a reserved freight elevator window. Send us the building's management contact when you book and we file the COI and lock the elevator slot before the truck arrives from Boca.
Is this a same-day move or does it run overnight?
Same day for most homes. The I-75 drive is roughly two and a half hours, so we load in Boca in the morning and unload in Fort Myers that afternoon. Your shipment never overnights in a warehouse, and the crew never hands it off, so it arrives the same day it leaves.
