Boca Raton to Naples Movers

Going from Boca to Naples means crossing the bottom of the peninsula, and the road that does it is one of a kind. Our truck takes I-75 west across Alligator Alley, the straight, lonely stretch through the Everglades with miles of canal, sawgrass, and the occasional gator on the bank. It is roughly 110 miles coast to coast, and it lands you on the Gulf in one of Florida’s pricier addresses, from Old Naples and the Moorings to the gated golf communities inland.

This is our crew the whole way. Anthony’s uniformed movers wrap and load at your Boca home, drive the Alley themselves, and unload at your Naples place. There is no fuel stop in the middle of the Everglades to hand your shipment to anyone, and there is no carrier swap. The people who pack the truck on the Atlantic side are the people who open it on the Gulf side.

What the Alligator Alley crossing takes

The Alley has no exits to speak of for long stretches, so we run the truck fully fueled and checked before we leave Boca; getting stranded out there is not an option. We load early to clear the heat, and we plan the arrival around Naples access, which is often a gated community with a guardhouse, a COI requirement, or a country-club move-in window. Plenty of these moves are snowbirds settling in for the season, so the timing tends to cluster between October and April when the second homes fill up.

  • A truck checked and fueled before the exit-free Alley run
  • Gatehouse clearance and COIs sorted for Naples communities
  • Same crew loads in Boca and unloads in Naples
  • One binding written quote covering the full cross-state haul

If your date lands in hurricane season, we keep an eye on the Gulf in particular, since storms there can close the Alley quickly, and we hold a backup day so a loaded truck is never caught on a route with nowhere to pull off. Movers That Care keeps a current Florida IM# with FDACS plus US DOT/MC authority, which fits a cross-state intrastate move like this. Give us the inventory and the community name and we will price it flat in writing before move day.

What Long-Distance Customers Told Us

★★★★★

“Helped my mother downsize out of her Boynton Beach place into a smaller unit. Patient with her, gentle with the heirloom china, and they didn't make her feel rushed. That mattered more than the price, though the price was reasonable too.”

Karen W.
Boynton Beach · Yelp
★★★★★

“Downtown high-rise, tight loading dock, narrow service hallway. The lead walked the route first and figured out the order before they touched a box, which saved real time. They had the elevator pads up and the association's COI submitted before move day. Clean job.”

★★★★★

“Moved from Parkland into Boca and the whole thing went smoother than our last move with a different company years ago. Two movers plus the truck, blankets and dollies all included in the hourly. They wrapped the leather sofa twice because of the humidity and it showed up looking exactly like it left. No hidden fees when the invoice came.”

Route FAQ

What is the drive across Alligator Alley actually like?
It is a straight, roughly 110-mile shot on I-75 through the Everglades with almost no exits for long stretches. Because there is nowhere to pull off for most of it, we run the truck fully fueled and checked before we leave Boca, and the crossing itself takes about two hours in clear conditions.
My Naples place is in a gated golf community. Can you get in?
Yes, as long as we set it up in advance. Many Naples communities require a guardhouse clearance, a Certificate of Insurance naming the association, and an approved move-in window. Give us the community and management contact when you book and we handle the gatehouse paperwork and COI before the truck reaches the gate.
A lot of these moves are seasonal, right?
They are. A good share of our Boca-to-Naples jobs are snowbirds settling into a second home for the season, which clusters between October and April. We are used to the seasonal rhythm and can coordinate a move-in around a community's busy arrival window so you are not fighting for the gate or the elevator.
Is the Alley a problem during storm season?
It can be, which is why we plan for it. From June through November we watch the Gulf closely, since a storm there can shut Alligator Alley down with little warning and there is nowhere to wait it out mid-route. If the forecast turns we shift your date to a held backup day rather than commit a loaded truck to the crossing.
