Boca Raton to Jacksonville Movers

Of all the Florida routes we run, Jacksonville is the long one. From Boca, our truck heads up I-95 North and stays on it for nearly 290 miles, riding the Atlantic side of the state past Vero Beach, Daytona, and St. Augustine before reaching the First Coast. People make this move for a slower-paced city, a Riverside or San Marco home, lower housing costs, or work near the port and the naval bases.

This is a full long-distance day, and it stays in our hands the whole time. Anthony’s crew loads and pad-wraps everything at your Boca address, drives the I-95 corridor north on our own truck, and unloads at your Jacksonville home. We do not transfer your belongings to a separate long-haul carrier, and we do not park them in a warehouse between cities. The crew that starts the job is the crew that finishes it.

What a 290-mile haul really involves

A drive this far means roughly five hours on the road, so the prep matters more than on any short hop. Furniture gets a heavier wrap, the inventory is checked off carefully at the load, and we leave Boca early to put real distance behind us before the afternoon heat and the storms that build along the I-95 corridor in summer. Jacksonville leans toward houses and low-rise neighborhoods rather than the high-rise condo walls of South Florida, so the destination access is usually driveways, yards, and stairs instead of freight elevators.

  • Heavy pad-wrapping for the longest in-state run
  • A detailed inventory checked at both the load and the unload
  • One crew, one truck, the full 290 miles
  • Binding written quote with tolls and fuel already inside it

Because this route runs the length of Florida’s Atlantic coast, hurricane season planning is not optional in those months. We track anything spinning offshore and keep a flexible backup date, since I-95 is the last place you want a loaded truck during a coastal storm. Movers That Care holds a Florida IM# with FDACS and US DOT/MC authority, which covers a long intrastate haul like this one. Send us the full inventory and we will write a flat quote that does not climb after the truck is loaded.

What Long-Distance Customers Told Us

★★★★★

“Booked the two-mover crew at $165 an hour and they were efficient enough that the clock stopped sooner than I expected. The $150 deposit came right off the total at the end, exactly like the office said it would. Our place in Boca Pointe is behind a gatehouse and they coordinated the visitor pass ahead of time so there was no standing around at the gate. Solid, no nonsense.”

“Snowbird move-in for my parents who come down every October. The building near A1A only allows move-ins on weekdays before noon, and the crew worked the whole job around that without complaint. Quick, polite, and they reassembled the bed frame so my dad didn't have to.”

“We relocated from Delray up to Orlando and went with their binding written quote so there'd be no surprise number on the back end. The estimate held. It was June, the tropics were already getting watched, and they flagged a possible storm window early so we could pick a backup day just in case. Didn't end up needing it, but I appreciated that they thought about it before I did. Loaded the truck in the morning to beat the heat, ran the Turnpike up, and unloaded the next day with the same two guys I met at pickup. Everything arrived in one piece. For a long haul that started above $2,500 it felt fair for what we got.”

Route FAQ

How far is it really, and how long is the drive?
It is close to 290 miles up I-95, which works out to about five hours of driving from Boca to Jacksonville. It is the longest Florida route we run, so we treat it as a full long-distance day and load early to get the bulk of the coast behind us before the afternoon.
Does my shipment ever leave your crew's hands on a haul this long?
No. Even at 290 miles, the same Movers That Care crew loads in Boca, drives the I-95 corridor, and unloads in Jacksonville on our own truck. We do not pass long hauls to an outside carrier or stage them in a warehouse, so what gets loaded in Palm Beach County is what gets carried in on the First Coast.
How do you keep furniture safe across five hours of interstate?
With a heavier wrap and a careful load. For the Jacksonville run we pad-wrap and band pieces more thoroughly than on a short hop, since they have to ride a long stretch of I-95. We also check a written inventory at the load and again at the unload so every piece is accounted for end to end.
Is a coastal route like this safe to book in hurricane season?
It is, with the right scheduling. Running the Atlantic side of the state from June through November means we watch the tropics closely, since a storm can touch the route anywhere from Vero Beach to the First Coast. If a system threatens your date we move you to a held backup day rather than put a loaded truck on I-95 in heavy weather.
